I feel there should’ve been a proper closure between Heather and Jonny.

It’s debatable to me whether they should’ve reconciled. I had two different endings in mind.

One, they run away together. I wasn’t entirely sure if Heather exposed herself to Jonny when they slept together. Cause Jonny’s reaction didn’t seem like a realistic one. But let’s say she did, and that’s why Jonny distanced herself from Heather. With their relationship, I figured Jonny was with Heather, not because she was attracted to her, but because she saw Heather as an escape from her controlled and abusive life. After killing Rick, while Jonny is a little freaked out by this, she also sees it as Heather saving her from an abusive boyfriend. Realizing Heather plans to run away, Jonny begs to go with her. Though still heated, Heather allows her to come, and it’s left in the air whether they’ll resume their relationship.

However, there might be too much hurt for Heather to forgive Jonny’s betrayal. Not only did Jonny distance herself, she betrayed Heather’s trust. She didn’t even try to defend Heather when Rick took her outside to beat her up (although it’s likely Jonny knew what Heather was going to do to Rick, and didn’t bother to stop it). So with that, it would be more likely that while leaving, Heather is letting go of Jonny for good. Maybe there should be this scene where Heather takes a detour to Jonny’s place. Jonny is looking out the window and sees Heather leave the bottle cap at the side of the street, severing all ties to Jonny for good. Jonny sees this, and cries, not because Rick is dead, but because of how she hurt Heather.

Stupid movie!! Thought a passenger changed his life but only leaves the viewer hanging, not knowing what happens to him. Just a way to make a cheap movie…only make half of a movie!!!!

The show introduced “Wilhelm” day, a huge public royal celebration of the Crown Prince’s 18th birthday. My guess is that unlike the other two seasons that ended and picked up with no time break, episode 6 may start with the prep for the big day This could allow Wilhelm to get his insides in order I think he chooses his Royal duty.. I’m honestly not sutr Simon will be at his side. If not, they will have satisfying discussions about why not. My guesses

I just watched the movie. Contrary to your conclusion, Abdellah never forgave David. He killed David indirectly through Druiss’s friend. If in doubt, go back to the scene where Abdellah slapped Druiss’s friend several times after he had narrated what transpired at the accident. He made the boy promise to step up when needed and said the phrase ‘consequences must be faced.’
David’s murder was the consequence he referred to. David’s murderer repeated the same words.

Why is no one talking about this? At around 40:50 in the first episode there’s some creature that is visible in the background scuttling in the ceiling of the ship. Was this her imagination or was this an alien somehow aboard their ship?

It would have been a good movie, but for the facts that 1. Who goes on a mountain rescue mission without rope, climbing pick, a tent and means to build a fire???
2. She goes across the tree over the river first and has no rope to tie onto “John”, who follows her. Seriously? Then he falls in and is dragged downriver. So, then she has him walk with soaking wet clothes? Finally, we see him wearing the reflective blanket.
3. Then, when they reach her car, instead of opening the door and getting him in FIRST, then herself, starting it up and turning on the heat, she leaves him outside? Give me a break.
Such a disappointing movie. Reminds me of the idiot girl tower climbers in ‘Fall’.
I’m surprised they made it out alive. Thank goodness they did, though. The movie may not have reflected reality, as nobody would be so remiss in packing the necessary gear, IMHO.

Your essay was very well written. I just returned from seeing Perfect Days. It was one of the most beautiful, meditative movies I have ever seen I did see that there was a spoiler alert at the top of your article. However, I always find it odd when writers review a movie and retell the entire film scene by scene. It’s not really your thoughts but almost like plagiarism of the screen play.
